Hi! My name is Bradley Ruzicka and I want to welcome you to my first blog. Traditionally, I’ve been one of those people who thought blogging was only done by those with too much time on their hands. What could I possibly say that hasn’t already been said a thousand times?!

However, with the encouragement of my wife Maru, I’ve decided to explore this new realm for myself. The three pictures at the top of this page represent the major focuses of this blog. You can find posts related to each category under the “Categories” section in the right hand column of this page.

Specifically, the first picture represents the theme “America’s Future” and attempts to answer the question “Where are we going as a nation?”. The second picture represents the theme “Space Exploration” and attempts to answer the question “What is man’s destiny is space?”. And finally, the third picture represents the theme “My Life” and attempts to answer the question “Who is Brad Ruzicka?”.

For those people who read this blog and choose to follow my posts, thank you! I hope you find what I have to say both interesting and relevant. Also, please send me your comments, feedback, and questions. I want to know what you like, don’t like, find interesting, or want to hear more about. Without you the readers, my blog is just a bunch of words floating around in cyberspace!

  1. Wow! I love your ambition of exploration with this blog, baby. Thanks for mentioning my motivation but I cannot take credit but for the pushing (I like to push and I’m good at it). Knowing you and being aware of your extensive knowledge of American music particularly from the 70s and 80s, I’d suggest that you include this topic too with the added bonus that you can hang clips and videos that spice up the moment of your readers.
    Looking forward to read more!

One of my son-in-laws, Bob Trondson, works for Public Television, and just finished a documentary on Vel Phillips. I think you might enjoy this. below is a link. Its about an hour long, and talks a lot about the 60’s in Milwaukee. It is creating a lot of discussion in Wisconsin. If you get a chance to view it, let me know what you think.

  5. Hey Brad,

Boy, you’re really adding to my reading list here (as if I’m not already far enough behind).

But how about adding some blogs on the Green Bay Packers’ greatest q-back ever — Jim Del Gaizo. (No one could hurl a pass end-over-end into the waiting arms of a defensive tackle like he could.)

    Dennis

    • Hi Dennis! Funny you mentioning Jim Del Gaizo. One of my hobbies has been collecting NFL DVDs and, a few years ago, I was able to acquire the complete “This Week In Pro Football” series that ran from 1967-1975. Don’t know if you remember that series but it was a weekly NFL highlights show hosted by Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier. I recently watched the 1973 season and got a chance to see the “highlights” of each game Jim Del Gaizo played with the Packers! I’m currently watching the 1974 season and, lo and behold, happened to see Jim starting for the NY Giants during Week 6!

So there’s your Jim Del Gaizo update!

  6. Good luck!

  7. Thanks for the coverage, Brad. It’s sad when a pivotal figure in the history of western culture, such as Del Gaizo, gets cast aside. Thankfully, “This Week in Pro Football” is preserving him for us.
